アーティスト紹介
Rita Davis(リタ・デイヴィス)はブラジルのベロオリゾンテ出身のグラフィックデザイナーで、現在はエストニアのタリンを拠点に活動しています。彼女はエストニア・アカデミー・オブ・アーツのグラフィックデザイン学科（学士・修士課程）で講師を務めており、同校で2023年に修士号も取得しました。
彼女は、さまざまな印刷手法や意外な道具を用いたドローイング、人と人がより近づく状況づくりなど、ハンズオンの実験に根ざしています。
素材を使った遊びやジェスチャーを通して、グラフィックデザインに「動き」を与える方法を常に探求しています。
リタは主に文化分野で活動し、ブラジル国内外のアーティスト、ギャラリー、劇団、出版社などとともにプロジェクトを手がけています。
Artist introduction
Rita Davis is a graphic designer from Belo Horizonte, Brazil, currently based in Tallinn, Estonia. She lectures in the BA and MA Graphic Design programs at the Estonian Academy of Arts, where she also earned her master’s degree (2023). Her practice is rooted in hands-on experimentation — printing with varied methods, drawing with unexpected tools, and facilitating situations to bring people closer together. She is continually searching for ways to give movement to graphic design, through material play and collaborative gestures. Rita works mainly in the cultural field, developing projects with artists, galleries, theater companies, and publishing houses both in Brazil and internationally.

このワークショップでは、参加者が「贈り物づくり」のスキルを自由に遊ぶことを目的とした内容です。
まずグループとして、これまでにない贈り方のための参考例や技法を見ていきます。
その後のセッションでは、お互いに贈り合うためのオブジェクトを、コンセプト作りからパッケージングまで制作します。
プレゼントづくりには、低コストの素材、会場で利用できるもの、そして贈る相手の個性を考慮して取り組みます。家から何も持ってくる必要はありません！◎
リラックスできて開かれた雰囲気のなか、創造性が自由に流れる時間を提供することを目指しています。
完璧な仕上がりよりも大切なのは「交換」です――お互いを観察し、一緒に想像し、誰かのために何かをつくるというシンプルな行為を楽しみましょう～！
このワークショップは今回で4回目の開催となり、これまでにベルリン（ドイツ）、タリン（エストニア）、ニューヨーク（アメリカ）で実施されました。

Workshop description
This is a hands-on workshop aimed at encouraging participants to play with their gift-making skills. As a group, we will look at references and techniques for unexpected ways of gifting. In a second moment, you will work on an object — from conceptualization to packaging — for one another. The making of the present will take into account low-cost materials, what is available in the space, and the particularities of the person you are gifting. No need to bring anything from home! The atmosphere of the workshop is meant to be relaxing and open, offering a moment for creativity to flow freely. More than perfect objects, the focus is on exchange — on paying attention, imagining together, and enjoying the simple act of making something for someone else. This is the 4th edition of the workshop, previously held in Berlin (DE), Tallinn (EE), and New York (US).
